Sallyport has a strong affinity with the military, in our lines of business and in our workforce. We are proud that nearly 1,200 of our 2,700 employees — or 44 percent — are military veterans. We assist veterans through the often difficult transition from military life to a career in the private sector. Sallyport is committed to supporting veterans as they pursue challenging and rewarding careers within our many business areas.

Virginia Values Veterans (V3)

Sallyport is a Certified Company that supports the Virginia Values Veterans (V3) Program. This effort is a Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Veterans Services Program whose mission is to educate and train employers throughout the Commonwealth on the Value of Virginia’s Veterans, and to help employers connect with these personnel assets to maximize the productivity of their workforce.

ESGR

Joining Forces is a White House initiative to encourage veteran hiring spearheaded by First Lady Michelle Obama and Dr. Jill Biden and led by the Center for New American Security. The comprehensive national initiative intends to mobilize all sectors of society to give U.S. service members, veterans and their families the opportunities and support they have earned. Sallyport works hand-in-hand with Joining Forces, as well as other national and state veteran hiring initiatives such as ESGR (Employer Support of The Guard and Reserve).
