Sallyport’s training programs and courses are delivered in the student’s native language, and are taught to International, U.S. and DoD standards. The curricula that Sallyport develops are constantly revised and updated to incorporate the latest in technology, procedural standards and innovations. SALLYPORT TRAINING OPERATIONS
- In Iraq, Sallyport provides Joint Base Balad and the 332nd ELRS/LGVM with all of the personnel and supervision necessary to manage a vehicle Maintenance Apprenticeship Program for Iraqi Nationals. Sallyport’s Training Division program is designed to train students not only in maintenance, but safety, quality control methods, stock control, facility maintenance and tool accountability. The instructors are experts in the field of maintenance and training, and have a combined military service time of over 45 years in heavy, light wheeled, tracked and special vehicles.
- In Iraq, Sallyport’s Fire & Emergency Training Academy provided IFSAC/ProBoard-certified firefighter training to the Iraqi Civil Defense Directorate, which is composed of over 11,500 firefighters assigned to more than 220 fire stations. ICDD students received instruction in accordance with National Fire Protection Association 1001, which consisted of a combination of classroom study, drill field practice, and training evolutions that prepared the firefighters to perform most fire ground functions under the supervision of an officer or experienced firefighter. Since 2007, ICDD firefighters have extinguished 120,418 fires throughout the country, rescued 2,050 persons, and located and neutralized 148,984 IEDs and other explosive devices, savings thousands of lives.
- In Iraq, Sallyport built and equipped an Urban Search & Rescue Training facility at the JTA Basrah Facility in Al Basrah. Firefighters in the Iraqi Civil Defense Directorate were given Rescue Technician (Structural Collapse), FEMA Structural Collapse, and Incident Command training by Sallyport Training Division. The course consisted of a combination of classroom study, drill field practice, and training evolutions that prepared the fire fighters to perform urban search and rescue.
