SALLYPORT LOGISTICS AND PROCUREMENT OPERATIONS

  • In Iraq, UAE, Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan, under the Air Force Contingency Augmentation Program, Sallyport assists in the planning, management and execution of replacement vehicle component program for Air Expeditionary Forces rotations on 7 US Airbases. Its Logistics and Transport Division teams provide single supply Base Expeditionary Airfield Resources technician services
  • In Iraq, Sallyport provides the U.S. Army, Joint Base Balad, with Air Field Sweeper Services. This project provides all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and logistics support for airfield sweeper operations. Joint Base Balad logistics readiness experts process more than 950 cargo aircraft, 12,000 tons of cargo and 19,000 passengers, each month.
  • In Manas, Kyrgyzstan, Sallyport procures all the personnel, equipment, tools and materials necessary to afford the secure distribution of freight of all kinds on the US Army Northern Distribution Network from the Transit Center at Manas, Kyrgyzstan through Tajikistan to final destinations within Afghanistan.
  • In Iraq, Sallyport worked with the Multi-National Security Transition Command whose mission was to help develop the various entities within the Iraqi government required to provide effective security and first-responder services to the citizens of Iraq. Sallyport partnered with W.S. Darley & Co, to provide equipment and training services to assist in professionalizing the Iraqi Civil Defense Directorate, the agency responsible for fire-services across Iraq. The effort called for the supply of various types of fire equipment, search and rescue equipment, vehicle maintenance equipment as well as related training sessions to ensure the Iraqis were capable of maintaining and operating the equipment.
  • In Iraq, Sallyport Transportation and Logistics team procured, shipped and built a $1,200,000 training camp for Armor Group. In Hillah, The construction materials, such as cabins, generators, sanitary equipment, including ancillary furnishings and fittings, were brought in by ground transport from Jordan and Turkey, and despite bad roads and instability, arrived without incident.
  • In Iraq and Jordan, Sallyport provided air-transportation services in support of the Coalition Police Assistance Training Team efforts, flying Iraqi trainees to and from training in Jordan to their duty station in Iraq. It successfully flew approximately 1,156 flights, moving over 100,000 personnel.
  • In South Sudan, Sallyport procured and delivered all materials and equipment necessary to build an FM radio station for USAID. Poor roads and instability were a challenge, but the Logistics and Transport teams delivered on time. The station is now up and running – providing daily news, information, and entertainment programming on FM 98.6.
  • In Sudan, in partnership with PAE, (a Lockheed Martin Company), Sallyport’s Logistics and Transport Division provided the procurement and logistic services for the completion of Phase II building of 2,500 square meters of facilities for the Sudan People’s Liberation Army in Duar, South Sudan. The phase was part of an infrastructure and civil works project for a Department of State and Bureau of African Affairs Africa Peacekeeping Program.
  • In Iraq, at the height of the insurgency, Sallyport was called upon by the Department of the Army to procure non-US made Electronic Counter Measure systems in order to protect Iraqi Ministry officials from the threat of IEDs. The Logistics and Transport team procured Russian jammers, used to protect key ministers, which had an excellent safety record, were highly effective, portable, and easy to use and maintain.
