SALLYPORT METHODOLOGY
Build, train, transition and oversee
Sallyport provides an integrated capability, not only within the fire and emergency division, but also with applicable specialist divisions, such as HAZMAT, environmental remediation, emergency medical technicians and others.
Our approach; build, train, transition and oversee, provides clients with a solid foundation, specialist application, industry standard training, and long-term management. The combination results in stable operational environments, with high levels of prevention, precise and timely resolution of incidents, and the perfect balance of training for the future, and managed oversight.
Sallyport is currently the largest provider of certified international fire fighters, emergency medical technicians, environmental Engineers and HAZMAT specialists in Iraq. It is also the primary provider of fire and emergency services training to the Iraqi Civil Defense Directorate. It is the only company in Iraq that has trained Iraqi Firefighters to IFSAC FF I Certification, provided equipment and provided the services with qualified personnel.
The following example demonstrates Sallyport’s approach in action, in this case for a client in Iraq. With regional and operational variations, Sallyport can transplant this methodology and capability to any country or environment, however austere and sensitive.
Build
1.Provide International Fire Service Accreditation certified fire and emergency services personnel to establish operations in Iraq, and ensure that they are compliant with local laws and regulations.
2.Utilize long-standing equipment partners to procure and deliver the required operational equipment.
3.Develop and implement a fire-safety and inspection plan
4.Review the work of the client’s building and construction contractor with respect to fire alarms and suppression systems. (If Sallyport also provides construction services, the work will already be compliant and prepared for integration).
5.Create and implement fire alarm and suppressions systems maintenance plan across all required facilities.
Train

1.Coordinate with the necessary authorities to access local facilities and utilize regional facilities to train staff to IFSAC certification (Fire-Fighter I-III level) in partnership with Sallyport’s training/curriculum partner – Bucks County Community College.
2.Select and train local national personnel
3.Equip and deploy local national personnel
Transition
1.Develop and OJT program to certify and transition work from expatriate or third country national firefighter personnel to local national personnel employed by the client or local authorities.
2.Create a phased timeline to hand over services at the basic and later leadership level from expatriate or third country national personnel to local national personnel.
Oversee
1.Provide consulting and quality assurance personnel to oversee and maintain qualitative performance to international standards.
2.Provide replacement equipment and continued training services on an as-needed basis.
