Overview:
Since October 2004 Sallyport has worked as a primary Sub-Contractor for Life Support and Security in support of the The Louis Berger Group Contract 267-C-00-04-00435-00 (Iraq Private Sector Growth and Employment Generation, Econ II Project), recently completed USAID/Louis Berger Group Contract 267-C-00-04-00417-00 (Iraq Vocational Training and Employment Services Project) and for USAID/MSI Contract RFTOP 267-06-004 (Iraqi National Capacity Development).
Scope of Services:
USAID Al Mansur and Karada Compound
In 2004 Sallyport constructed a residential and office complex in the Al Mansur District of Baghdad. This complex consists of a 27-building mixed use secure compound capable of housing over 300 personnel as well as ~ 200 transient/day workers. In 2007 for expansion purposes Sallyport assumed control of three hotels and two houses in the Karrada District of Baghdad - The ADF, Rimal, and Marble Palace Hotels which consists of approximately 12,000 square meters of space made up of residential and office space capable of accommodating 200 personnel.
- Installed and maintained 4 VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminals) solutions, using both SCPC (Single Carrier Per Channel) and TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) satellite modems (Comtech, iDirect, Linkstar).
- Designed, implemented and maintained WAN, WLAN & LAN solutions for over 30 venues/buildings, using both CAT5e wiring and full 1000Mbps LAN with CAT6 and fiber optics using Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco PIX, Cisco Routers.
- Provided IT helpdesk including remote desktop assistance, remote desktop control, 24/7 for over 200 clients and staff.
- Designed, implement and maintained badging office to provide badge design and printing and access control cards for gates.
- Implemented computerized surveillance system.
- Setup and maintained advanced Mikrotik and Sonicwall firewalls for internal network (+250 users).
- VoIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) Solutions (Cisco, Linksys).
- Maintained, troubleshoot VHF-UHF radio system.
- Inventory management (Wasp Inventory).

USAID Irbil Compound
In 2006 Sallyport assumed control of a 7-building compound in the Ankawa District of Irbil to support USAID's mission in the Kurdish Regional Governate.
