Overview:
Since October 2004 Sallyport has worked as a primary Sub-Contractor for Life Support and Security in support of the The Louis Berger Group Contract 267-C-00-04-00435-00 (Iraq Private Sector Growth and Employment Generation, Econ II Project), recently completed USAID/Louis Berger Group Contract 267-C-00-04-00417-00 (Iraq Vocational Training and Employment Services Project) and for USAID/MSI Contract RFTOP 267-06-004 (Iraqi National Capacity Development).
Scope of Services:
- Successfully mobilized on this contract and procured, secured and occupied buildings capable of supporting the requirements of these projects. In conjunction with this effort, we initially hired and deployed approximately 300 personnel.
- Procured and delivered millions of liters of fuels required to operate both the camp electrical system and vehicle fuel points. In this effort we employed western-standard environmental safety standards and have suffered neither any disruptions due to delays or fuel quality nor any significant environmental incidents.
- Maintained and managed the camp electrical system which consists of one 1MW, one 750KvA, one 300KvA and one 400KvA generator with no significant downtime or disruptions over the course of the contract. In this effort we locally procured and delivered all the required parts and expertise to carry out this relatively complex task.
- Operated a high-quality dining facility and served hundreds of thousands of meals without any health related incidents while continuously receiving positive feedback on the quality of its food services. In this effort we conducted training to ensure all employees understood and adhered to SERVSAFE techniques and hygiene standards in the preparation of food. Additionally we established a strong network for the provision of all required foodstuffs and supplies both locally and internationally.
- Established and managed a complete vehicle maintenance facility with capabilities to completely overhaul vehicles. In this effort, we managed a fleet of approximately 25 vehicles of various types ranging from standard SUV's and cars to up-armored vehicles.
- Provided the compound with housekeeping, laundry, and grounds-keeping services to include completion of all MRO work required.
- Managed the property book with the clients to ensure the proper accountability of all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) on site.
- Established, managed and maintained the camp fitness and MWR facilities to include a pool.
- Conducted tens of thousands of security missions from this compound and incurred no client injuries or deaths to date.
