Sallyport was founded in 2003 to support the post war reconstruction efforts in Iraq and has expanded its operation throughout the Middle East and Africa in support of U.S. foreign policy initiatives and private sector growth initiatives.
Initially Sallyport focused on mission-critical procurement and logistics support for security companies operating in Iraq. In 2004, Sallyport was awarded an Aviation Logistics Services contract involving the transport of Iraqi police trainees between Jordan and Iraq. Over 2 and half years, we flew 1200 flights and moved 10,000 personnel in, out, and around Iraq.
Later that year, Sallyport established the 4 block Al Mansur compound to support the Louis Berger Group's US Agency for International Development (USAID) contract in Iraq. Today this compound is the largest USAID facility in Iraq and supports five different USAID and WorldBank projects.
In 2006, Sallyport began working outside of Iraq in other areas of the Middle East and Central Asia on U.S. Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) task orders. In 2008, we were selected to provide Fire & Emergency Management Services to NASA's Space Centers across the United States. In 2009, Sallyport established operations in Sudan (South) to support initiatives of the international community in that war-torn region.
Today, we operate throughout many regions of the globe serving our clients to provide a full range of global procurement, logistics, construction, base operations support, fire & emergency management and security services.
